Marcelino Sambé: “Dancers are complex creatures – we’re artists”

As he prepares to play Des Grieux in ‘Manon’ at the Royal Opera House in London, Marcelino Sambé meets Allegra Handelsman. From his childhood in Portugal where he trained in African dance to being a figurehead for British ballet alongside Francesca Hayward, Sambé discusses a life lived in movement.
